Latest Update: The Mahindra Scorpio Classic has become dearer by up to Rs 25,000.

Price: Mahindra sells the Scorpio Classic from Rs 13.25 lakh to Rs 17.06 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Variants: You can buy it in two variants: S and S11. The price of the new mid-spec S5 variant will be revealed soon.

Colours: The Scorpio Classic comes in five colours: Galaxy Grey, Red Rage, Dsat Silver, Pearl White and Napoli Black.

Seating Capacity: It comes in 7-and 9-seater configurations.

Engine and Transmission: The Scorpio Classic uses a 2.2-litre diesel engine, derived from the Scorpio N’s less powerful diesel version that makes 132PS and 300Nm, and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Features: It comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and AUX connectivity and projector headlights with LED DRLs. The SUV also gets cruise control and auto air-conditioning.

Safety: In terms of safety, it gets up to dual front airbags, ABS and rear parking sensors.

Rivals: The Scorpio Classic is a direct rival to the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun and Citroen C3 Aircross.
