Latest Update: Mahindra has launched the ‘Pro’ variants of the XUV400. We have also explained the top-spec EL Pro variant of the XUV400 EV in 15 pictures.

Price: The Mahindra XUV400 EV is now priced from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom pan India).

Variants: Mahindra offers it in two broad variants: EC Pro and EL Pro.

Colours: You can buy the electric SUV in 5 monotones and 5 dual-tone colour options: Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue. In dual-tone options, all these colours are available with a Satin Copper dual-tone shade.

Boot Space: The electric SUV offers a boot space of 378 litres.

Seating Capacity: It comes in a 5-seater layout.

Battery Pack and Range: The Mahindra XUV400 EV comes with two battery choices: 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh. These batteries are paired to a single electric motor that produces 150 PS and 310 Nm. The 34.5 kWh battery provides an estimated range of 375km according to MIDC, while the larger 39.4 kWh battery offers 456 km.

The charging times are as follows:

50 kW DC Fast Charger: 50 minutes (0-80 per cent)

7.2 kW AC Charger: 6.5 hours

3.3 kW Domestic Charger: 13 hours

Features: Features on board the electric Mahindra SUV includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone AC, a sunroof, wireless phone charging, and push-button start-stop.

Safety: It gets up to 6 airbags, cornering brake control, electronic stability program (ESP), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold assist, and a rear parking camera.

Rivals: The XUV400 EV competes with the Tata Nexon EV while also being an affordable alternative to the Hyundai Kona Electric and MG ZS EV.
